The Choctaw Central baseball teams won two-out-of-three games last week as they improved their record to 10-7 on the season.

The Warriors took ab 11-5 win over Winona on March 29. They dropped a 10-0 decision to Southeast Lauderdale, and then bounced back to defeat Morton 8-0. A game with Union was suspended and will not be made up.

Choctaw Central was to play Forest Tuesday and did not have any more games scheduled for this week.

The Warriors outhit Winona 13-6 as they took the region victory.

Choctaw Central scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the third, five in the fourth and two in the sixth. Winona answered with one in the second, three in the fifth and one in the seventh.

Draven Cotton was the winning pitcher. He had seven strikeouts and allowed one earned run.

Zales Lewis hit a double and a single and knocked in three runs. Speedy Lewis went 3-for-3 with a triple and knocked in four runs.

The Tigers broke the game open in the fifth inning with six runs and added four more in the seventh.

Lewis took the pitching loss.

Dewayne Cotton and Keyon Roach both went 2-for-3 at the plate.

The Warriors outhit Morton 7-1 to claim the victory.

Choctaw Central scored one in the first, four in the third, one in the fifth and two in the seventh.

Draven Cotton was the winning pitcher. He struck out nine.

Roach was 2-for-4 with four runs batted in. Tristan Gibson had two hits and knocked in four runs.
