Choctaw Central and Newton High School will both be seeking their first win of the 2018 season Friday night when the Warriors host the Tigers in prep football action.

Both teams will be seeking their first victory and enter the game at 0-3. The Warriors dropped a 64-14 decision to Choctaw County last Thursday. Newton High School lost 34-18 in its game with Eupora last Friday.

Choctaw County jumped out to a 27-0 lead on the Warriors in the first quarter and rolled on, scoring 14 in the second quarter, 14 in the third quarter and nine in the fourth quarter.

Jacob Chapman scored the Warriors’ first touchdown on a three-yard run. The final Warrior touchdown came on a 55-yard pass from Andrew Sockey to Gerald Isom.  Graviel Velasco kicked both extra points.
