The Union High School girls basketball teams dropped both of its games last week and went into the Thanksgiving holidays with a 1-2 record.

The Lady Yellowjackets dropped a 50-47 decision at Enterprise and then lost 52-44 to Newton County.

“We have to learn how to win games,” Coach Matt Wilbanks said. “In both games, we were tied in the final quarter and then let it slip away. The girls are playing hard and we are going to be ok.”

Ansley Rigby led with 17 points in the Enterprise game. Parker Breland and Mackenzie Dolan both added 13 points.

Against Newton County, Breland scored 19 points to lead the Lady Yellowjackets.
