The Union Yellowjackets will close out their 2017 football season Thursday night when they visit the Enterprise Bulldogs.

Union, which dropped a 38-16 decision to Newton High School last Friday, comes in with a 2-7 record. Enterprise, 2-8, lost 48-14 to Bay Springs last week.

Newton passed for over 300 yards as the Tigers went up 30-0 at the half. Newton quarterback Alex Hamilton threw five touchdown passes in the game.

The Yellowjackets scored their first touchdown in the third quarter when Colby Ferguson ran six yards for a touchdown. Newton would score again and led 38-8 heading into the fourth quarter. Ferguson would then pass to Michael McDonald for the final touchdown of the game,

“We haven’t given up,” Coach Brad Breland said. “The kids are still working hard in practice and we are starting to see some progress.”
