The Union High School Yellowjackets made it to the second round of the South State Class 2A tournament before being eliminated Williams Sullivan 78-46.

The Yellowjackets finished the season with a 21-8 record. They were the No. 1 seeded team going into the Region 6-2A tournament where they were runners up to Scott Central.

"We had a good season," said Union coach Scott Thomas. "Our players worked hard. We would have liked to have gone further into the playoffs but Williams Sullivan had a really good team."

Quinton Campbell scored 22 points in the Yellowjackets' loss to Williams Sullivan.

Union opened the South State tournament last Tuesday with a 68-56 win over Amite County. Campbell scored 31 points in the victory.
