Union boys improve to 12-5

The Union Yellowjackets picked up a pair of Region 5-2A victories last week as they improved their record to 12-5 on the season.
Union started the week with a 74-65 win over Lake last Tuesday, and then stopped Puckett 68-42 on Friday night.
The Union girls split their games last week. They lost a 52-49 decision to late and bounced back to defeat Puckett 60-53.
Union has two games this week. They were to visit Scott Central on Tuesday and host Clarkdale on Friday.
Quinton Campbell scored 25 points and Carmein Brown added 22 points in the Yellowjackets' win over Lake. Adrien Campbell finished with 10 points.
Quinton Campbell was the high point man again in the Yellowjackets' win over Puckett as he finished with 22 points. Union put this game away in the third quarter. Leading 29-28 at the half, the Yellowjackets outscored the Wolves 20-2 in the third stanza and held on through the fourth quarter. Brown added 11 points and Tre Bogan scored nine.
The Union girls entered the week with an 11-78 record.
