Tornadoes drop two classic games in tourney

Philadelphia High School dropped a pair of classic games Saturday in the Weir Classic.
The Tornadoes fell 3-2 to Ethel and 8-0 to Cleveland.
Games scheduled for Neshoba Central, Choctaw Central, Union and Leake Academy were rained out.

Ethel scored in the sixth inning to slip past Philadelphia. Romon Gray took the pitching loss in relief of Tyler Partridge.
Fent Mars had two hits to pace the Tornadoes in their loss to Cleveland. Baily Smith and Levon Carter both hit singles. Johntrell Pickens had six strikeouts on the mound.
