The 2014 season came to an end for three area high school teams this past week.

The Neshoba Central Rocket baseball team was eliminated by the Pearl Pirates as they finished with a 16-11 record. Pearl won game one 5-1 and took game two 8-4.

On the fast-pitch softball side, Philadelphia and Union were eliminated from the playoffs.

The Lady Tornadoes opened the week by sweeping Morton 17-0 and 18-1. But over the weekend, they were eliminated by two-time defending champion St. Patrick, 21-5 and 15-5.

The Union girls were eliminated by Puckett, 9-4 and 9-6.
