The Neshoba Central baseball team picked up three victories last week as they improved their record to 7-1 on the season.

The Rockets swept a doubleheader from region rival Canton High School, winning 16-0 and 15-0. They came back to beat Newton County 12-9.

Clay Sanders was the winning pitcher in the first bout. In four innings, he allowed no runs, one hit and struck out nine.

Ramie Harrison led two hits while scoring three runs and two RBIs. Reid Hall hit a double and a single. He scored two runs and knocked in two more.



Game two lasted three innings.

Jacob Killens picked up the win in relief of starter Hayden Knight. Knight pitched the first 3.1 innings. Killens pitched 2.2 innings. And Reid Hall pitched the last inning.

Harrison hit a triple. He had two hits while scoring two runs and knocked in two more. Reid Hall had two hits and scored two runs while Cade Hall had one hit while scoring two runs and knocking in two more.
