Both Neshoba Central bowling teams won the Class II North Regionals championship last Friday in Southaven.

The Neshoba Central girls finished first in the bowling with 3249, and then defeated runner-up Starkville 3-0 in the Baker Series. Destiny Dill placed second overall with 729 pins while Hailey Copeland came in fourth overall with 722 pins.

The Lady Rockets will be seeking their second state championship in three years when they enter the State Class II tournament at Metro 24 in Jackson. They won state in 2015 and placed third overall in the state meet in 2016.

The Neshoba Central boys finished with 3588 behind Starkville, which had 3599 pins. The Rockets then defeated Starkville 3-1 in the Baker Series to claim the North Region championship.

The Rockets also finished third overall last year.
