The Philadelphia Tornadoes won two-out-of-three games last week during the Meridian Spring Fling baseball classic held at Q.V. Sykes Field.

The Tornadoes opened with a 2-0 win over Union, and then defeated Puckett 11-1. In the final game of the week, the Tornadoes dropped a 12-0 decision to Newton County.

The Tornadoes entered the week with a 3-5 record. They had two Region 5-3A games this week as they host Choctaw County on Tuesday and Choctaw Central on Friday. They travel to Germantown for a game on Saturday.

Averi Duncan started the game and was the winning pitcher. He had four strikeouts.
