Neshoba Central's Katlyn Duke has been named to play for the North team Saturday in the Mississippi Association of Coaches Slow-pitch all-star games which will be held at Newton County High School.

Duke will be playing in the Class 4A-5A-6A game. The games start with the 1A-2A-3A getting under way at 1 p.m. The games will follow in non-consecutive order.

Duke batted over .600 and hit 23 home runs for the Neshoba Central Lady Rockets during their 34-1 championship season.

"She can do it all," Neshoba Central Coach Trae Embry said. "She's very athletic and gives it everything she has on every play. She never takes a day off in a game or in practice. She's a hard worker."

During the summer, Duke played in the all-star fast-pitch game.
