The Neshoba Pee Wees advanced in the playoffs Saturday with a 36-30 victory over Petal.

The first half saw several big plays including three long touchdown passes by Petal.

But the Neshoba offense had their own share of big plays in that half led by Lideatrick Griffin who scored four times including a kick return.

Asher Morgan and Kadarius Calloway also scored in the half on critical conversion attempts as the teams entered halftime tied at 30.

The second half proved to be a defensive struggle. It was highlighted by several huge stops by the Neshoba defense.

In the final quarter, the offense marched down the field behind the offensive line and power running of Raykivus Gibson to score the go ahead touchdown.

The defense again came up with one final stop to secure the 36-30 win.

The Rockets advance to the next round to and meet Wayne County at Jones Junior College on Dec. 7.

They will then play the next Saturday in Hattiesburg at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.
