Neshoba Youth Football continued its winning ways this past weekend.

The Midgets advanced to Round 3 with a 28-6 victory over visiting Hazlehurst.

They will host Scott Central this Saturday at 12:30 at Rocket Field.

The Rookies championship hopes were ended as they lost their first round game to Prentiss.

The Pee-Wees also advanced to Round 3 after a thrilling win at Quitman.

In that game, the Rockets fell behind early but came back to take the lead in the second half 14-6.

They then held off a late Quitman rally that saw the Panthers register a touchdown on the last play of the game that cut the lead to 14-12.

Neshoba then stuffed the conversion attempt to secure the 14-12 win.

"This is a special group of kids that control their own destiny. We ask that everyone come out and support them this Saturday." said Coach Greg Fulton.

The Pee-Wees will host Petal this Saturday at 2:00 at Rocket Field.

Wins this Saturday secures a berth for both teams in Hattiesburg on December 14 at The Rock.

The first game starts at 12:30 at Rocket Field.
