Neshoba County youth teams on a roll

The long season continued for the Choctaw Central Warriors Thursday night as they dropped a 38-23 decision to Enterprise in prep football action.
The teams of the Neshoba County Youth Football League battled Philadelphia last Saturday.
The Neshoba Tiny Mitts won their game 6-0; the Rookie Reds won 40-0; the Red Midgets won 40-0; and the Philadelphia defeated the Neshoba Peewees 14-0.
Jaheim Gill rushed for 198 yards on seven carries in the Midget game. He scored two touchdowns. Jarquez Hunter scored two touchdowns and rushed for 67 yards on eight carries. Matthew Scarborough scored a touchdown and rushed for 11 yards.
The top tacklers for the Red Midgets were Aaron Phillips, Shelby Holmes and Kenate Smith, who all had five.
Earlier this season, Neshoba defeated Meridian and Kemper in a series of games. The Peewees beat Meridian 38-6 and Kemper 28-0; the Midgets won 44-0 over Meridian and 30-0 over Kemper; and the Rookies beat Meridian 22-6 and Kemper 24-0.
Hunter rushed for 169 yards and scored two touchdowns while Gill had 141 yards and two touchdowns.The Warriors, now 1-5 on the year, will visit Southeast Lauderdale Friday night for their first region game of the season.
Demarcus Wilson scored two touchdowns for the Warriors and Jennard Bolin added another.
Choctaw Central had 216 yards in total offense with 216 yards coming on the ground and 41 in the air. Wilson was the leading rusher with 124 yards on 13 carries.
