NC Rockets battle Tornadoes to 2-2 tie

The Neshoba Central and Philadelphia boys soccer teams battled to a 2-2 draw in action last Friday.
Meanwhile, the Neshoba Central girls took a 5-0 win over the Lady Tornadoes.
Scoring for the Rockets were Karim Mueller and Dalton Marshall. Mueller had an assist.
Those scoring for the Lady Rockets in their win over Philadelphia were Madalyn McMahon with two goals and two assists; Cesea Cheatham with one goal; Manna Spears with two assists; Kayla Robertson with one goal and one assist; Jenna Pigg with one assist; and, Rylee Stone with one goal.
Neshoba Central also split a pair of games with Forest. The Lady Rockets won their match 3-2 while the Bearcats won the boys games, 7-4.
Courtney McNair scored two goals for the Lady Rockets while McMahon added one. McMahon and Laken Winstead both had one assist.
Dalton Marshall scored two goals for the Rockets in their loss to Forest while Preston Anderson and Mueller both scored one goal. Dinnon Breazeale had two assists and Brady Stephenson added one.
Neshoba Central has two matches scheduled this week. They visit New Hope on Tuesday and host Germantown on Friday. The Neshoba Central boys entered the week with a 4-2-1 record while the girls stand at 3-5.
Philadelphia had two matches scheduled for this week. The Tornadoes visit Choctaw Central on Tuesday and travel to Southeast Lauderdale on Thursday. No other information on Philadelphia was available.
The Lady Warriors of Choctaw Central won two of three matches last week. Choctaw Central started the week with a 9-0 win over Louisville.
They then lost a 3-2 region decision to Southeast Lauderdale before bouncing back to beat Kosciusko 5-0.
Allandra York and Dana Brisco both scored three goals in the Lady Warriors' win over Louisville. Kristen Josh added two goals while Jashaunique Steve added one. This was a region victory.
Choctaw Central led 2-0 in the first half but Southeast Lauderdale rallied to beat them by one in a region contest. Steve scored both Choctaw Central goals.
The Lady Warriors closed out the week with a win over Kosciusko. Steve scored three goals and Robin Routh added two.
The Choctaw Central boys lost a 5-1 decision to Louisville. Max York scored for the Warriors. Choctaw Central also lost 10-0 to Southeast Lauderdale and 5-0 to Kosciusko.
The Choctaw Central girls open this week with a 6-4 overall record and 1-1 region record.
Choctaw Central hosts Philadelphia and Tuesday and visits Quitman on Thursday before breaking for the Christmas holidays.
