The Leake Academy basketball teams are entering the core of their District 2-AA prep basketball schedule.
"We are playing well," Coach Phil Shepard said. "Both teams are getting better.
"These are the games that are really going to count. We'll have to take them one at a time."
The Rebel teams were to visit Carroll Academy on Tuesday in a non-district game. Then they have four district games in a row as they visit Manchester on Friday; host Winston on Saturday; visit Canton Academy on Jan. 14 and host Tri-County on Jan. 17.
The Rebelettes came into the week with a 21-1 record after winning all three of last week's games.
