Lady Rockets tie with Lake Cormorant in 1-1 series

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets are tied in their state playoff series with Lake Cormorant after Monday night's game was called because of rain.
Neshoba Central Coach Trey Embry sends Ali Pike home as she rounds third.
The Lady Rockets won game one on Saturday 9-8 at Neshoba Central.
Neshoba Central was trailing 7-4 Monday when it started raining and the game was called, giving Lake Cormorant the victory.
"I'm not sure when we'll play the third game," Coach Trae Embry said. "We have exams Wednesday and Thursday. But it will be back up here."
Neshoba Central currently stands 26-5. The winner of this series plays New Hope in the North State series.
The Lady Trojans have already eliminated McComb.
In game one, Neshoba Central scored two in the first, one in the third, one in the fourth and five in the seventh.
Lake Cormorant answered with two in the second and six in the seventh.
Kayla McMillan was the winning pitcher.
Ali Pike led the Lady Rockets with a double and a single while Madalyn McMahon and Hailey Lunderman both had two hits.
In the second game, Neshoba Central went up 2-0.
Lake Cormorant then took a 7-2 lead. The Lady Rockets cut that lead to 7-4. Then the rains started falling and the game ended.
