Lady Rockets beat Tornadoes

Neshoba Central scored a 7-1 victory over Philadelphia last Monday in girls fast-pitch softball action.
The Lady Rockets started this week with a 16-1 record while the Lady Tornadoes stand at 10-3.
"Philadelphia has a good team," Neshoba Central coach Tre Embry said. "This was a good win for us."
Philadelphia led 1-0 after the first inning. But the Lady Rockets came back with five in the third and one in the fourth.
Kayla McKinion was the winning pitcher while Caitlyn Dickerson took the loss.
The Lady Rockets banged out 12 hits. Hannah Williams led with two hits and two RBIs, while Hailey Lunderman, Madalyn McMahon and Kaila Willis all had two hits. Kayla Robertson hit a double.
Dickerson helped her cause with a double. Letesha Carter went two-for-two while Jada White and Precious Moore both hit a single.

The Lady Warriors dropped a pair of game last week.
They lost a 5-4 decision to Sebastopol in a game that went eight innings. The Lady Warriors scored three in the fourth and one in the eighth. Sebastopol scored three in the fifth and two in the eight. Brooklyn Bell led with a triple while Precious Favre added a double.
The Lady Warriors then lost an 11-5 decision to Nanih Waiya. Betty Mingo led with a double and a single while Raina King added a double.
Neshoba Central 14 pt
The Lady Rockets played one other game as they took a 16-1 win over Enterprise.
Jenna Pigg was the winning pitcher.
Katlyn Duke finished with three hits while Lunderman, McMahon and Robertson all had two.
Philadelphia --14 pt
The Lady Tornadoes bounced back with a 10-0 win over Ackerman.
Philadelphia scored one in the first, fourth in the fourth and five in the fifth. Dickerson had eight strike outs and was the winning pitcher.
K.K. Bounds went three-for-four and had two RBIs. Dickerson added a double.
The Union girls took a 2-0 win over Kosciusko.
The Lady Yellowjackets scored all of their runs in the fourth inning. Brett Whitlock was the winning pitcher as she recorded eight strike outs and only allowed two hits.
Ebony Buckley had two hits was Averi Pender connected on a triple. Cassie Smith had a single.
