The Neshoba Central junior varsity team won a 9-hole match play Monday afternoon at the Philadelphia Country Club.

The Rocket junior varsity finished the day with a score of 186, followed by the Neshoba Central varsity at 200, Scott Central at 219 and Choctaw Central at 222.

Neshoba Central seventh grader Hunter Lewis was the medalist with a 45. Other members of the junior varsity team finished as follows: Taylor Ward 46; Cole Kirkland 47; Chance Young 48; Fabin Barlow 50.

The Neshoba Central varsity team finished as follows: Zack Rigdon 46; Ryan Gardener 49; Graham Winstead 52; Trent Hunley 54.

Philadelphia had two players to compete. Hunter Ketteringham shot a 48 and Gray Moorehead finished at 52.

Last week, the Philadelphia golf team played in an 18-hole tournament in Forest. Their scores were as follows: Ketteringham 102; Avery Duncan 102; Garrett Threadgill 105; and, Moorehead 115.

Neshoba Central, Philadelphia and Union were to play a three-team tournament Tuesday at the Philadelphia Country Club.
