The Choctaw Central Lady Warriors split a pair of games last week in prep softball action.

The Lady Warriors dropped a 5-2 decision to Nanih Waiya, but bounced back to top Pisgah 12-1. The Lady Warriors will see action in the Clarkdale Spring Fling on Friday when they take on Amory at 11 a.m. and Corinth at 2 p.m.

After rain shortened their week, Choctaw Central played its two games Saturday in the Sebastopol tournament.

Nanih Waiya scored one in the first, one in the second and three in the third. Choctaw Central scored one in the third and one in the fourth. Betty Mingo was the losing pitcher. Mingo, Raina King and Jada Sockey all hit singles for the Lady Warriors.

Choctaw Central came back to take a win over Pisgah.

The Lady Warriors scored two in the first, nine in the second and one in the fourth. Jasmine Hickman was the winning pitcher. The Lady Warriors finished with 13 hits led by Mingo who belted a grand slam home run and a single. King and Lashayla McMillan both hit a double and a single.
