Quinton Campbell scored 56 points to lead the Union Yellowjackets to a 87-79 overtime victory past Enterprise Friday night in prep basketball action.

"That's the most I have ever seen someone score in a game," said veteran Union Coach Scott Thomas. "I had someone score 52 again me once when I was at Choctaw Central.

"And we needed every point of it. They took us to overtime and we pulled it out."

Union went 1-1 last week as they dropped a 56-46 decision to Lake. Campbell scored 26 in that game while Quidarian Jackson added nine.

Enterprise led 20-16 at the end of the first quarter. Union had a 17-15 scoring edge in the second period and Enterprise held a 35-33 halftime lead. Both teams scored 20 point in the third quarter. Then Union outscored Enterprise 20-18 in the final stanza to send the game into overtime. Union put in 14 points during overtime while holding the Bulldogs to six.

Jackson added 11 points.

The Union girls lost a 56-47 decision to Lake. They bounced back to defeated Enterprise.
