The Choctaw Central Warriors will try to get their 2013 football season off on the right foot Friday night when they visit Leake Central.

The game will be played in Carthage. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Warriors are looking to improve on last year's 4-6 record. Coach Troy Savell says his team has some experience under its belt running the Flex-bone triple-option offense. But the key will be to eliminate mistakes if they hope to be successful.

"We will be young in some positions but we do have some size and talent," Savell said. "This is our second season in the Flex-bone and we should be able to run it with success. We worked hard during the summer and hopefully it will pay off."

Leake Central competes in Region 4-4A. Last year, they finished 3-8.

Choctaw Central played in a jamboree game last week at Noxapater where the Warriors lost a 20-0 decision.
