The 4-H Cooking Club will be having an open enrollment for any participants or volunteers interested in joining. 

All youth ages 8-18 interested in learning about fundamental kitchen skills and the science behind cooking and baking techniques are welcome to sign up.  They will also gain skills in teamwork, organization, and creativity.  

If you have a passion for cooking and would love to share your skills with the young people in our community, you can become a 4-H volunteer. Please note that all volunteers will have to pass a background check.

Breakfast with Santa

Trinity Baptist Church Children's Ministry is hosting Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 8:30-11:30. There is a $10 entrance fee and that includes a small breakfast, picture with Santa, and games. The PNC Arts Council will present a comedy play entitled "A Double Wide Texas Christmas" (rated PG) on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Neshoba Central Elementary School Auditorium. Ticket prices are- General Admission $10, Arts Council Members $5, and Students (K-12th) for $3. Advanced tickets may be purchased at The Depot.


A two-hour Private Applicator Certification class will be taught on Friday, November 15th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Neshoba County Coliseum multi-purpose room. The class is for individuals wishing to obtain private applicator certification for the first time and for those who need to renew or reinstate their certification. The cost for the class is $20 and it is payable the day of the class. Please note the Extension Service cannot accept cash or credit/debit card payments.  Registration fee must be paid by check or money order.  Contact the Extension Service office at 601-656-4011 for more information. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, Mississippi State Extension Services is hosting a FREE Pond and Small Lake Management workshop at 10 a.m. at Larry Lillis’ Pond. The general topics to be discussed are seining practices, fish population management, alkalinity testing, fertility, harvest practices, fish densities, and aquatic weed identification and control.
