choir concert

The Miracles, a nationally renowned choir of musically-gifted adults with intellectual disabilities, will perform at Cook's Chapel United Methodist Church Sunday, July 14 at the 11:00 a. m. worship service. 

The choir consists of 25 men and women who live at the Baddour Center, a community for adults with intellectual disabilities, located in Senatobia. The Miracles travel 15,000 miles and perform 80 concerts in over 40 different venues annually. Their most recent concert was for the U. S. Senate in Washington, D.C.

Everyone is welcome to attend.


On July 29, the Neshoba Central High School class of 1961 is holding a reunion at Ronnie's Steak and Grill. Lunch can be ordered or eaten off the buffet. The reunion will start at 10:30 A.M. If planning to attend, please contact 601-416-1625 or at 


Come by the MSU Extension Service-Neshoba County office and pick up your entry forms, entry tags and exhibitor number for the Neshoba County Fair Exhibit Hall.  Youth ages 8-18 can enter items in the categories of fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, food-nutrition, posters, and arts and crafts.  Adult categories include fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, and cultural arts.  The deadline to pick up your entry forms, tags and exhibitor number is Wednesday, July 25. On Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 P.M., the Mt. Enon Church Family in the Dixon Community will host a Pre-men and Women's Day Musical Program, featuring a variety of local talent. The Men and Women's Day Program will climax on Sunday, July 14 at 3:00 P.M. The inspirational speakers will be Sister Patricia Nash Griffin and Bro. John Michael Nash. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Atkinson joins ICC band

Tabitha Atkinson of Philadelphia was recently named as a member of the 2019 Itawamba Community College band.


The Gray reunion (descendants of Charles and Emma Gray) will be held at the Neshoba County Coliseum on July 14, 2019. It will start at 10 A.M. and potluck lunch will be at noon. Bring your family and enjoy the fellowship.  


On the first Friday at 6 P.M., a picking and grinning gathering will take a place at the Old Church on Ebenezer Road of the Laurel Hill Community. Blue grass and country music will be performed. Local performers are welcome and encouraged to attend. For more information call 601-507-7126.
