Crossroads Baptist Church on Road 270, just off  Road 505 in Neshoba Co., will feature the Soul'd Out Quartet at 6 p.m., June15.  Everyone is invited.  A love offering will be accepted.  Please make plans to join in a night of praising the Lord.


Come by the MSU Extension Service-Neshoba County office and pick up your entry forms, entry tags and exhibitor number for the Neshoba County Fair Exhibit Hall.  Youth ages 8-18 can enter items in the categories of fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, food-nutrition, posters, and arts and crafts.  Adult categories include fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, and cultural arts.  The deadline to pick up your entry forms, tags and exhibitor number is Wednesday, July 25. The Open Vessel gospel singers of Union will be celebrating their 8th year anniversary on June 29th at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Jerusalem Temple Church, 414 Ivy Street Philadelphia, MS. It will kick off with a fish sandwich and plate sale from 10 a.m- 2 p.m and continue at 5 p.m until in the church parking lot/multipurpose building. Special guest for the evening will be the Center Ridge Male of Kosciusko. All group choirs, soloists, etc are invited or just come to listen to some great gospel music. For more info, 601-745-0490.

Emergency Conservation Program

Farmers and ranchers who suffered damage from the April 18, 2019 tornadoes may be eligible for cost-share assistance.  Producers may contact the Neshoba County FSA Office to request assistance from May 29, 2019 to June 30,2019.   The following types of measures may be eligible: removing debris from farmland; grading, shaping, or releveling severely damaged farmland; restoring permanent fences and restoring conservation structures and other similar installations.


Kemper Co. Forestry Association will hold it's Summer Meeting on (Thursday)  June 20, 2019 @ 6:30 PM, in the MSU Extension Office / Farmers Market Building in  DeKalb, MS.  Anthony Ballard (Nuisance Wildlife Biologist) - MDWFP will present the Program:  Control of Nuisance Animals (Wild Hogs, Coyotes and other Species).
