SUSAN HALL BENEFIT

Benefit for Susan Hall, Cancer patient, on May 4 at First Church of God, 435 Columbus Ave, Philadelphia, 11: a.m. – 3 p.m. Pre-sale pork loin $25.00 and chicken plates $6.00. Pork loins will be available to pick up beginning at 11:00 on May 4. If you would like to purchase a ticket for pork loin stop by Stribling Drug Store or give Kathy a call at 601-201-0019. Pork loins are only pre-sold. Chicken plates are pre-sell and will also be sold the day of benefit. There will also be a bake sale on May 4 at First Church of God. 

Pre-K registration

Philadelphia Elementary has announced registration dates for its pre-kindergarten program  which is located at 406 Stribling Street. To be eligible to register for the District’s pre-k program, students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2019. Anyone having a four year old child and wishing for the child to be enrolled for the pre-kindergarten program must come to Philadelphia Elementary School to register the child between 9 a. m. and 1 p. m. 



NCSD Pre-K Registration

Neshoba Central Pre-Kindergarten registration will be weekdays May 6 – 16, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at the Neshoba County School District, Office of Federal Programs/Pre-K at 1125 Golf Course Road, Philadelphia. For more information, call 601-656-4484. 



HORSE SHOW

Mississippi 4H is having a Southeast District Horse show on June 6-7 in Gulfport at the Harrison County Fairgrounds. We want you to represent Neshoba County 4H at this event! If you want to enroll in 4H and would like information on how to participate in this competition, please contact the Neshoba County Extension Office at 601-656-4011. The ownership deadline is May 1and the entry deadline is May 11. Children ages 8-18 (as of January 1st, 2019) may compete. You will have to come by the Extension Office to pick up paperwork and a rule book. Neshoba County Extension Service is located at the Neshoba County Coliseum.



BRUNCH IN?THE?WORD

The Providence Baptist Church Home Mission Ministry will sponsor a “Brunch in the Word” on April 27, 2019, at 10: a.m. The program will feature several inspirational speakers from the surrounding area. The public is invited.

Bond Baptist Church Homecoming service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bond Baptist Church Hwy 21 N, Philadelphia.  We are celebrating 180 years.  Fellowship will follow the service.

Homecoming services at Bethsaida Baptist Church., April 28.  Bro. Lawrence Runnels will be the guest speaker.  Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a pot luck lunch to follow.

The Tucker Cemetery Committee invites all who have an interest in Tucker Cemetery in Kemper Co. to a meeting at 2 p.m. on Sun. BALLOON?LAUNCH

Neshoba General has partnered with the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency to celebrate National Donate Life Month. A balloon launch will be held at the front entrance of the hospital at 2 p.m. on April 24. This is a special event for all donors and recipients of donors. There will be guest speakers, a flag presentation and a balloon launch. The public is invited to attend.



FOOD GIVEAWAY

The Mars Hill Outreach Ministry will be open on Saturday April 20, 2019 from 9am-10am. All first time applicants must bring identification, proof of income and proof of residency.
