DEKALB HEAD START/EARLY START APPLICATIONS

Friends of Children of Mississippi, Inc. is accepting applications for 2018-2019. Child must be: 3-4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 for Head Start or 15 months to 35 months of age on Sept. 1 for Early Head Start.  The following information must be presented:  Proof of income:  1040A, 1040EZ tax return, child support, TANF letter, copy of college grants/scholarships, and any other source of household income.  Social Security or SSI statement.

AREA WIDE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Neshoba County Youth Football joins the Area Wide League for ages 5-12 (by Sept. 1, no 7th graders).  

The registration fee is $65.

CAREGIVER

SUPPORT GROUP

The monthly Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet every 2nd Monday at 5:30 pm.  The meetings are held at the Neshoba County Nursing Home conference room, located near the Station 1 entrance off of Hospital Road.  All families and caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia are urged to attend.

REVIVAL AT MT. ARAAT BAPTIST

The Mt. Araat Baptist Church in Scooba will begin their annual revival services on Sun., Aug. 26, and  continue through Aug. 30.  The Rev. George Cain will be the guest evangelist for the week.  He is from the Hopewell Baptist Church in Brooksville.  Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly.  Please join us.

MT. ENON M.B. CHURCH REVIVAL

Mt. Enon M. B. Church in the Dixon Community will be having its Annual Summer Revival,  Sunday, August 12 at 6 p.m. and Monday, 13 - Wednesday, 15 evenings at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. George Smith, Jr., is the evangelist for the revival. All area church families are cordially invited.

The Bethany Reunion will be held Aug. 11 at Walton Park in the Neshoba community.



NORTH BEND UNITED METHODIST CHURCH HOMECOMING

Homecoming for North Bend UMC will be held Sunday August 12 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Brother Travis Fulton will deliver the message. Lunch will be served after the service.

HIGH HILL BAPTIST CHURCH DEDICATION SERVICE

High Hill Baptist Church, 10021 RD 206, Philadelphia, will have their new sanctuary dedication service, Sunday, Aug. 12, 10:30 a.m. - noon. Former pastor Rev. The monthly meeting AARP will be held Aug. 13 at the Senior Citizens Building at 6:15 p.m. Each person is asked to bring something old or new to share and tell interesting facts about. Bring your favorite dish and a friend to enjoy the food, fellowship and program. AARP meets the second Monday of every month.
