DEKALB HEAD START/EARLY START APPLICATIONS

Friends of Children of Mississippi, Inc. is accepting applications for 2018-2019. Child must be: 3-4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 for Head Start or 15 months to 35 months of age on Sept. 1 for Early Head Start.  The following information must be presented:  Proof of income:  1040A, 1040EZ tax return, child support, TANF letter, copy of college grants/scholarships, and any other source of household income.  Social Security or SSI statement.

AREA WIDE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Neshoba County Youth Football joins the Area Wide League for ages 5-12 (by Sept. 1, no 7th graders).  

The registration fee is $65.

PHS CLASS OF 1958

Philadelphia High School class of 1958 will have an informal 60th reunion luncheon on Saturday, July 28 at City Limits Restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You will order from the menu and pay your own check. PHS CLASS OF 1968

The Philadelphia High School Class of 1968 will hold its 50-year class reunion on Saturday, July 28 at Ye Ole Drugstore Deli in Philadelphia, located at 509 Main Street. The event will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Dress is casual. Lunch will be provided. All class members and spouses are invited to attend. Tickets are $35/person or $45/couple. ALZHEIMER’S

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

The monthly Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet every 2nd Monday at 5:30 pm.  The meetings are held at the Neshoba County Nursing Home conference room, located near the Station 1 entrance off of Hospital Road.  All families and caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia are urged to attend.



NESHOBA COUNTY FAIR EXHIBIT HALL SIGN UP:  

Come by the MSU Extension Service-Neshoba County office and pick up your entry forms, entry tags and exhibitor number for the Neshoba County Fair Exhibit Hall.  Youth ages 8-18 can enter items in the categories of fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, food-nutrition, posters, and arts and crafts.  Adult categories include fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, and cultural arts.  The deadline to pick up your entry forms, tags and exhibitor number is Wednesday, July 25.    Call 601-656-4602 or come by the Extension Service office in the Neshoba County Coliseum for more information.
