The Neshoba Central High School Class of 1988 will celebrate its 30th year class reunion on June 23  from 7 p.m. until midnight at Bridges, The Venue in Philadelphia.  

Dress is casual. Your meal and entertainment will be provided. Tickets are $50 a person or $75 for a couple.

 One commemorative T-shirt is included in the ticket price.

The Neshoba Central High School Class of 1963 will celebrate their 55th anniversary with a class reunion on May 19 at the Shriner's Lodge on Hwy. 15. Friends of Children of Mississippi, Inc. is accepting applications for 2018-2019. Child must be: 3-4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 for Head Start or 15 months to 35 months of age on Sept. 1 for Early Head Start.  The following information must be presented:  Proof of income:  1040A, 1040EZ tax return, child support, TANF letter, copy of college grants/scholarships, and any other source of household income.  Social Security or SSI statement.

Neshoba County Youth Football joins the Area Wide League for ages 5-12 (by Sept. 1, no 7th graders).  

The registration fee is $65.

ECCC Women’s Soccer Program Hosting Summer ID Camp

The East Central Community College women’s soccer program will host a one-day “ID Camp” on Saturday, June 23 at the soccer complex on the campus in Decatur.

The camp is open to all women soccer players in the high school classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

“ECCC’s Soccer ID Camp is a great way to get a jump on the college recruitment process,” said Ryan Joiner, who was named the college’s new women’s soccer coach in January and will begin his duties on June 1.

Joiner has been the head girls’ soccer coach at Ocean Springs High School the past two seasons. He won three Mississippi High School Athletics Association state championships as the boys’ team coach at St. Stanislaus from 2013 to 2016.

The Soccer ID Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Player check-in is at 8:30 a.m.

The camp will include a morning session, lunch in the college’s Mabry Cafeteria, a campus tour, an afternoon session, and games.

The cost to attend is $50. Checks should be made payable to ECCC Women’s Soccer and mailed to Ryan Joiner, East Central Community College Women’s Soccer, P.O. Box 129, Decatur, MS 39327.

Crystal Ridge Baptist Church Louisville Revival

Crystal Ridge Baptist Church of Louisville will be hosting a revival May 6-9, 2018. Times: Sun. 11:00 a.m.. & 6:30 p.m., Mon. – Wed. 7:00 p.m.

Dixon Day will be held Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at the Neshoba County Fairgrounds beginning at 10 a.m.. Lunch will be served picnic style.

The Come Back to Christ Crusade will be held Monday - Friday, May 7-11, 2018.

The event is an outdoor tent revival where everyone is welcome. Free admission and guaranteed seating for the first 1000.  Lawn chairs welcome. Event will be held at 1412 State Hwy 16 East; 7.3 miles east of Philadelphia city limits.


Neshoba General Hospital and Mississippi Blood Services are hosting a Blood Drive Thursday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MBS Donor Coach to be located at the hospital, 1001 Holland Ave.

The descendants of William Washington and Lena Catherina Phillip Thomas, will hold the Annual Thomas Family Reunion at the home place of William & Alpha Thomas Madden, Saturday, June 9 at 11:30 a.m. We hope each of you will plan to come and bring a dish and your lawn chair. If you have any old pictures or other family information that you can share, this will be a great contribution in the preparation of a Thomas Family Book.
