Martin, Anthony wed in September ceremony

Meagan Katherine Martin and Brent Patrick Anthony were united in marriage at six o'clock in the evening on Sept. 15, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Reverend Rob Hill officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Stephens Martin II of Philadelphia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wallace Cox of Philadelphia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Eldred Martin of Meridian.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Randall Anthony of Brandon. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Malcolm Wagner of Loranger, Louisiana and Ms. Darlene Knight Anthony and the late Mr. Charles Lester Anthony of Tickfaw, Louisiana.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a simple and understated Allure gown in rich ivory satin. The strapless bodice was slightly scooped and ruched, with a natural waistline and A-line skirt. A Mori Lee ivory satin bridal sash adorned with pearls and crystals was added at the waistline.
She carried a hand tied nosegay of white hydrangeas, white lilies, ivory roses and white freesia. The bouquet was wrapped with lace from her mother's wedding gown and accented with a broach belonging to her grandmother.
Nuptial music was presented by Laura Bryan, pianist; Madison Hardy, vocalist and Jordan Reynolds, vocalist and guitarist. Serving as Maid of Honor was her sister, Macy Cox Martin. Bridesmaids were Kayla Anthony Erickson, sister of the groom, Kayla McCarver Bryant and Allison Elizabeth McCarver, cousins of the bride, Gracie Erin Breland, Jane Elizabeth Deweese, Kenzie Ruth Gaines, Martha Eliza Lauderdale, Chelsea Elizabeth McClain and Lindsey Triplett Patterson. The bridesmaids wore floor length Bari Jay Bella chiffon shadow color gowns, featuring a shirred sweetheart, over lapping shirred waist with floral detail. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas.
Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Matthew Ryan Anthony. Groomsmen were Isaac Stephens Martin III, brother of the bride, Perry Clark Erickson, brother-in-law of the groom, Chase Edward Campbell, David Byers Falconi, Steven Chad Gosselin, William Jeff Martin, Steven Blount Pearson, Michael Cole Sirmon and Brent Curt Stevens.
Ushers were John Bailey Cox, Marshall Thomas Cox and John Gordon Dubay, cousins of the bride and Brandon Michael Wagner and Kyle Matthew Wagner, cousins of the groom. Program attendants were Cassandra Walls Hamilton and Sarah Elizabeth Smith. Registry attendants were Bailey Rachel McCarver, cousin of the bride and Calli Leigh Cumberland. The proxy bride was Callie Leigh Cumberland. The wedding director was Kay Tingle Black, cousin of the bride. Wedding greeters were Bettye Richardson Deweese, Douglas Kent Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Eric Benton Prince.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to attend a reception at the home of Dr. Bill Molpus. Reception directors were Melanie Hunter McNair and Veronica Hunter Molpus. Reception greeters were Rachel Darby Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Harold Hardy, Barbara Banks Kirkland and Lisa Ellingburg Posey. Also assisting with the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tinsley.
The Cole House of Philadelphia catered the event by providing food stations housing the bride and groom's favorite foods.
The bride's four-tiered cake and the groom's outdoorsman cake were provided by Icing on the Cake of Brandon and were served by Renee Brantley, Sue Cumberland and Connie Webb, cousins of the bride. Night Tripper of Meridian provided music for the evening.
Gamble Martin served as the photographer and Melody 'Moonbeam" McLain Hanks, was the videographer, both of Philadelphia.
The couple exited the reception in a turquoise and white 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air car which was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Pruitt Willis. Rose petals were distributed to the crowd by Laura Guyton and Maggie Martin, cousins of the bride and Madelyn and Morgan Duncan, cousins of the groom.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Warehouse on Walnut Street. It was decorated by Uptown Flowers from Philadelphia. The delicious meal was prepared by Sherry Smith of Sherry's Catering in Madden. Allen Hardy of Philadelphia provided the music.
After a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is making their home in Brandon.
Together with Meagan and Brent, both families would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to make their dream a reality.
