The courtyard of Bridges the Venue adorned with river birch trees and greenery in Philadelphia was the setting for the March 18, 2017, evening wedding of Hailey Renyta Chisolm, daughter of Craig and Ronda Chisolm of Philadelphia, Miss., and Oscar Lavone Burt III (Lon), son of Von and Cindy Burt of Meridian, Miss. The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Rev. Mark Benson.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mary Frances Chisolm of Philadelphia and the late Robert Earl Chisolm, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Gentry (Hap) of Philadelphia.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Duchess Burt of Toomsuba and  the late Oscar Lavone Burt Sr., as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Need Parker Jarman Jr of Meridian.

The bride wore a Martina Liana v-neck, double layer skirted gown with a bodice of  lace and tulle over lustre satin, featuring  a scalloped hemline cathedral length train.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Nikki Chisolm Moak of Brandon, and maid of honor was Krystal Stewart of Ridgeland. Bridemaids were Emily Breland Walker of Philadelphia, Jodie Apperson Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Ivey Burt of Brandon.

The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen included Nick Daniels of Lake Charles, La., Chase Harper of Nashville, Tenn., Walton Mitts of Jackson, and Jared Moak of Brandon.  Honorary groomsmen were Bill Allen, Gary Futch, Dr. David Gilmore, Tony McDaniel, Adam Miller, Dr. Bill Woods, Jack Christopher, Larry Bagley all of Meridian, Mark Wiggins of Oxford and Steve Holifield of Allen, Texas.

Flower girls and ring bearer were Chloe Bates of Clinton, Miss., and Ella Burt of Madison, Ala., and John Oscar Burt of Madison, Ala.   

Guests were welcomed to the ceremony by Abbe Todd and Trevor Todd of Ocean Springs.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at Northwood Country Club in Meridian. Music was provided by Tony Pasko and Timmy Segars.

After a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple resides in Brandon, Miss.
