Gregory-Salter to recite vows on November 23

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Leo Salter of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Brantley, to Robert Nathan Gregory, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brian Gregory of Senatobia.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Mrs. Paula Jones Salter. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wilson Salter of Philadelphia and the late Capt. and Mrs. Whitney Buford Jones Jr. of Macon. She is a 2004 graduate of Forest High School and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Mississippi in 2008. At Ole Miss, she served as treasurer of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and was a member of the Chancellor's Leadership Class, Order of Omega and the University Chorus. In 2011, she earned a master of arts degree in English at Mississippi State University, where she is currently employed as a lecturer in the English department.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brian Gregory of Senatobia and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bruce McCall of Southaven. He is a 2004 graduate of Senatobia High School, attended Northwest Mississippi Community College and received a bachelor of arts degree from Mississippi State University in 2008. At Northwest, he was editor of the college's student newspaper, The Ranger Rocket, and at MSU, he served as managing editor of the university's student newspaper, The Reflector, and participated in the Global Leadership Program in South Korea. He is currently pursuing a master of arts degree in journalism at the University of Mississippi and is employed as the city and county government reporter at The Commercial Dispatch in Columbus.
The couple will exchange vows Nov. 23, 2013, at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Starkville. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Hunter Henry Alumni Center on the MSU campus.
