Services for William Brooks Hooper were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.

The Rev. Wayne Hill officiated. Burial followed in Bethsaida Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Hooper, 94, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko.

He was born and reared in Philadelphia. He was a former member of Associated Locksmiths of America. Mr. Hooper was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Ruth Ballinger Hooper of Philadelphia; daughter, Vickie King of Alamogordo, N.M.; stepsons, Craig DuBose of Atlanta, Ga. and Thomas Larry DuBose of New York, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Helen and Edna Earl; sisters, Maurine Bates and Sue Gibbs; and brothers, Charles Hooper and Clarence Hooper.
