Services for Ty Miller will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Coy Miller and the Rev. Davey Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home in is in charge of arrangements.
Ty, 16, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Lauderdale County.
He was a native of Neshoba County. He had just completed the tenth grade at Neshoba Central where he was a member of the soccer team for four years and a member of the baseball and football teams. He played baseball for East Coast Prospects in tournaments throughout the South. Ty was a member of Cooks Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member of MYF.
Survivors include his mother, Shelley Rutland of Lauderdale; father, John Miller of Philadelphia; sister, Melissa Miller of Philadelphia; paternal grandparents, Percy Miller and Betty Miller of Philadelphia; and great grandmother, Carolyn Carney of Monticello.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sharon Ross and Glenn Rutland.
Pallbearers are Michael McLain, Reed McCool, Mitch Crenshaw, Matt Howell, Avery Duncan, John Forrest Sisson, Dalton Marshall, Jarrod Brister and Dylan Dunn. Honorary pallbearers are players and coaches of Neshoba Central soccer, baseball, football and East Coast Prospects tournament team.
