Services for Rickey Covington were held Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel.

The Reverends Jimmy Townsend, Toby Stovall and Allen Herrington officiated. Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery. 

Mr. Covington, 64, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his home.

He was a longtime resident of Neshoba County. He was a diesel mechanic and feed truck driver for Tyson. Mr. Covington served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Covington of Philadelphia; daughters, Jennifer Doss and Michelle Covington both of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Covington was preceded in death by his son, Richard Covington and mother, Charlene Webb.

Pallbearers were Kirt Doss, Ricky Smith, Brian Hardy, Jimmy R. Kilgore, Chad Benson, Jamey Freeny, Clavin Bailey, Mark Myers, Ethan Doss, Mickey Conn and Kadden Goforth.
