Services for Rev. William Jerry Jones were held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.

The Rev. Mack Alford and the Rev. Randy Caldwell officiated. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Rev. Jones, 66, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Neshoba County and a lifelong educator. Bro. Jerry was an honor graduate of Philadelphia High School and earned his B.S., M.S. and Specialist degrees at Mississippi State University. He was an Administrator and teacher at Neshoba, Newton and Leake County Schools and Pioneer and Kemper Academies. Rev. Jones had been a minister since 1967 serving many churches in Neshoba, Newton and Kemper Counties.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Young (Bud) Jones and Edna Earl Partridge Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Annette Moore Jones, step-son, Shane Sanderford; step-daughter, Tiffany McWilliams; and seven grandchildren.
