Services for the Rev. Frances Lawson Robbins were to be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Chih I' Chuka Assembly of God. The Rev. Bob Wilbur and the Rev. Franklin Smith officiated. Burial was to be in the church cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Robbins, 87, died on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in Big Piney, Mo., and moved to Philadelphia in 1967 where she made her home. She was the only Assembly of God Missionary in Mississippi that served with Choctaw people. The Rev. Robbins fostered 39 children throughout her life. She was a member of Chih I' Chuka Assembly of God.

Rev. Robbins was preceded in death by her parents, Everette Lee Lawson and Lillie Mae McCown Lawson; husband, the Rev. Thomas Jefferson Robbins; son, David Robbins; brother, Charles Lawson.

Survivors are daughters, Patricia Wesley of Moss Point and Rebecca Nickey of Choctaw; sons, Winfred Lewis of Carthage, Howard Dixon of Okla., Nathaniel Steve of Choctaw, George Steve of Choctaw and Acie Cotton of Choctaw; sister, Virginia Week of Ca.; brothers, Herbert Lawson of Ca., John Lawson of Ca. and Howard Lawson of Ca.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
