Services for Mr. Olvin Lee Stephens were held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

The Rev. John Stephens officiated. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stephens, 90, died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

He served in the U.S. Army Infantry in Europe and was awarded The Purple Heart and the bronze star. He was a member of Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Mississippi National Guard for two years. Mr. Stephens moved to Flint, Mich. where he served in Michigan National Guard for ten years, retiring as captain in 1964.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Lee Stephens and Louva Bell Clark Stephens; brothers, Clifford Stephens and James Paul Stephens.

Survivors include sisters, Mildred Mott of Union and Mary Louise Huston of Union.
