Services for Neva Ferguson Stegall were held Friday, May 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Tony Linley and Rev. Bryan Madison officiating.  Burial followed in the Commer Family Cemetery.  

McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stegall, 80, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

A native of Neshoba County, she lived in the Meridian Area for most of her life.  She retired

from Roadway Express in 2000, and then moved back to Neshoba County to enjoy retirement with family, yard work, and especially fishing with her sister.  Mrs. Stegall was a member of

Mars Hill Baptist Church in Winston County.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Johnnie G. Stegall of Philadelphia; sister, Dorothy

(Jasper) Commer of Philadelphia; nephews, Donnie (Faron) Commer, Terry (Tammie) Commer; nieces, Betty (Jimmy) Kirkland and Pam (Wendell) Manning; nine great-nieces and nephews; 17 great- great nieces and nephews; and pet dog, Racer, whom she loved dearly.

Pallbearers were Donald Joe Nowell, Jeffrey Kirkland, Trenton Kirkland, Colton Ingram, J. P. Watson,

Jay Dee Madison, Stuart Ingram, Nathan Commer, Trevor Commer, Josh Commer and Jacob Kirkland.
