Services for Mrs. Mildred Mooney Deweese were held Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

The Rev. Don Savell and the Rev. Brian Weir officiated. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. DeWeese, 90, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Laird Hospital in Union.

She lived in the Arlington community most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of the National Wildlife Association and a member of Arlington Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Presley Mooney and Emma Whinery Mooney; husband, Wilson Woodrow DeWeese; and eight sisters and brothers.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Rudolph, Lana Jann Morris and Rebecca Smith; son, Ralph W. DeWeese; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ben Rudolph, Jayson Rudolph, Rusty Burnham, Barry Hickman, Channing Pope and Scott Breazeale.
