Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Eldridge, 81, of Escatawpa, passed away on June 9,2013, in Escatawpa. She was born on Sept. 23, 1931, in Neshoba County.

She was loving wife, mother an Granny to all of her family. She was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church in Escatawpa for over 50 years. She was attending Mellen Methodist Church in Dekalb at the time of her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, H.S. and Lessie Lee Parker; her sister, Jo Parker Cook; and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Eldridge.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Edward Matthew Eldridge of Escatawpa; her sons, Eddie Eldridge of Escatawpa, Tommy (Linda) Eldridge of Hurley and Scott (Robin) Eldridge of Harleston; her daughters, Teresa Eldridge of Helena and Melesa (Mike) Mazingo of Moss Point; and her sister, Doris Ray of Brandon. She will also be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at New Hope Methodist Church on Jackson Road in DeKalb.

The funeral began at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cris Gulley and the Rev. Owen Gordon officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jacob Eldridge, Joshua Eldridge, Stan Harkleroad, Jonathan Mazingo, Daniel Eldridge, and Adam Eldridge.

Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa/Moss Point was in charge of arrangements.
