Services for Marie Lovern were Friday, April 20, 2018,

at 11 a. m. from New Zion Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia.  Burial followed in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lovern, 85, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

She was a lifelong resident of the Fork Community. She attended New Zion UPC all her life.  She loved gospel music.

Survivors include children, Lyvone  Lovern, Charles Lovern, Harold Lovern, Rose Prewitt, June Braddock, Ralph Lovern, Bobby Joe Lovern and Dawn Feasel; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a great-great-grandchild on the way; sister, Margie Watkins; brother, Bobby Pope.

Mrs. Lovern was preceded in death by husband, Edd Lovern; grandson, Trey Feasel; mother,

Willie C. Pope; father, Author Pope; sisters, Marvine Lovern, Ruby Holley; brothers, Kenneth Pope,

Fat Tom Pope, Rudon Pope, Earsel Pope.
