Services for Marguerite Chaney White were held Friday, June 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.

The Rev. Billy J. Hayes and the Rev. Richard Balkcom officiated. Burial followed in Hope Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. White, 99, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.

She was born and reared in Neshoba County where she made her home most of her life. Mrs. White was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. She retired as a public school teacher in Neshoba County.

Survivors include her daughter, Lucinda Smith of Brookhaven; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny White; parents, Roy and Louie Chaney; sister, Luceil Frickie; and brothers, Morris, A.J. and Leroy Chaney.

Pallbearers were James Chaney, Danny Thompson, Johnny Hester, Don Perry, George Sikes, Hughey Duncan, Jerry White and Kyle Thompson.
