Today we celebrate the life of our precious Mama "Granny." Mama lived a glorious life surrounded by so many people who loved and admired her. She was a very "large and in charge" personality who taught us that family is our most treasured gift.

Lilla is survived by her daughters Pat Cooper Thompson (Greg Thompson) and Kay Cooper Suitor (Jerry Suitor); granddaughter Stephanie Smith Strietbeck (Shad Strietbeck); grandsons Cooper Thompson, Rich Thompson , Chris Smith and Bill Suitor (Jill Suitor); great-granddaughters Kaity Strietbeck and Lacey Hickerson Smith; and great-grandson Dean Strietbeck.

Lilla also has a surviving sister, Lottie Chaney Ethredge; Nieces Ann Joiner (Alvis Joiner), Sandra Ethredge, Jane Moore Grubbs, Brenda Chaney Partridge, Lynn Chaney Gilliland; Nephews Billy White, George Ethredge and Mason Moore Jr. and Sister-In-Law Jo Chaney.

Lilla was born in Philadelphia and was married to Richard Cooper until his death in1980. She worked at the Blount Clinic and later the Moore Clinic and when the U S Electrical Motors plant opened, she was one of the first people the first aid nurse and insurance administrator. She was known by all at the "Motor Plant" and tended to their injured bodies and spirits until she retired.

Our sweet mother has left us all with so many precious memories. She will be interred and rest in peace beside our Daddy at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
