Services for Mr. Leroy Quattlebaum were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

The Rev. John Stephens officiated. Interment followed in MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Leroy Quattlebaum, 78, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Memorial Hospital in Jackson.

He was born in Melrose, N.M. and later made his home in Decatur. He was a U.S. Army veteran, an auto mechanic and a woodworking craftsman. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Quattlebaum and Annie Addy Quattlebaum; brother, Phillip Quattlebaum and Herman Quattlebaum; and sister, Jean Smith.

Survivors include wife, Mary S. Quattlebaum of Decatur; daughters, Tammy Quattlebaum of Florence and Pamela Quattlebaum of Ridgeland; son, Michael Quattlebaum of Florence; sisters, Elsie Hagan of Union; and God Children, Wesley Joyner and Stacey Joyner.
