Services for Mrs. Laurice Cannon Irons will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Irons, 89, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Baptist Leake Memorial Extended Care.

She lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Mrs. Irons was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Cannon and Ethel Pickle Cannon; husband, James Rudolph (Pete) Irons; brothers, Roy Cannon Jr. and Willis Cannon.

Survivors include daughter, Hilda Wilkins of Twin City; sons, James W. Irons Sr. of Carthage and Bennie Ray Irons of Hitchcock, Texas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
