Services for Jessie Mae Thomas were held Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. from First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater.

The Rev. Benny Alford and the Rev. Bobby Lowrey officiated. Burial followed in Sunrise Cemetery in Noxapater. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thomas, 92, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Choctaw Residential Center.

She was a native of Neshoba County and a former resident of Morton, Kemper County, and Winston County. Mrs. Thomas formerly attended Christian Life Apostolic Church and First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann DePriest of DeKalb; son, Walter Thomas of Noxapater; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Langston of Raleigh, Cora "Sissie" Eakes of DeKalb, and Bobbie Jean Shoemaker of Forest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Thomas; sons, Curtis Thomas and Milton Thomas; parents, Eugene and Bittie Mae Cumberland; and two granddaughters.
