Memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Henry Ford Peebles will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the home of Pamela Roberta Springer at 10230 Road 2434 in the Deemer Community. The Rev. John E. Stephens will officiate. Family and friends are invited.

Mr. Peebles, 90, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home in Union. He lived in the Deemer Community all of his life. He worked for Howell Construction, U.S. Electrical Motors and was a farmer. Mr. Peebles was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Peebles Sr. and Roberta Ray Peebles; wife, Nana B. Myers Peebles; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Peebles; four brothers, James Peebles, Cecil Peebles, Ed Peebles and Dan Peebles; six sisters, Hazel Ladd, Jay Carter, Jane Carter, Pauline Smith, Dorothy Brantley Harris and Alma Eakes.

Mr. Peebles is survived by his daughter, Pamela Roberta Springer of Philadelphia; sisters, Otazell Adams of Meridian, Velma Morris of Philadelphia and Zelma Henley of Philadelphia; brother, Claude (Jack) Peebles Jr. of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Jennifer Starr Peebles Satin of Pensacola, Fla. and Richard Guy Springer of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
