Services for Mrs. Frances "Fran" Orr will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Hopewell Methodist Church in DeKalb at 11 a.m. Bro. Hollis Warren and Bro. Dewayne Warren will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home of Dekalb is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Orr passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014.

She was a business owner for 20 plus years and a dispatcher for the Kemper County Sheriff's Office for 10 years. She enjoyed taking care of her farm animals but her joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren, going to Wendy's for their weekly Frostie. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, David L. McCoy Jr. and his wife Brandy; daughter, Sarah Pope and her husband Jody; grandson, Devin McCoy; granddaughters, Carly Gensheimer, Lauren Pope and Presli Pope. She is also survived by her brother, James Larkin Fulton and his wife Jean.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Curtis Fulton and Georgia Lillian Fulton; husband, Milton Orr; and sister, Ida Grace Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Harbour, Billy Chisolm, Hugh Chisolm, Jason Jolly, Brian Smith and Robert Joyner. Honorary pallbearer will be her grandson, Devin McCoy.

Visitation was Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stephens of Dekalb and on Wednesday, 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
